Hi! I’m @codewithshreya
product manager | content creator | digital nomad

I often find myself at the intersection of identities — too young to be a millenial yet too old to be a gen Z. Or too Indian for the American kids yet too American for the Indian kids. Even my college major (bioinformatics) was a mix of computer science, business, and biology. Today I work as a product manager at Microsoft, a role truly at the intersection of every team in the org. I spend my days driving product development for the Azure Identity organization and my nights creating content for my online platform @codewithshreya.

Prior to my pivot to product management, I was a software engineer for 4+ years. I worked primarily in the Java/C++ backend side and will always be grateful for the lessons that coding taught me. My portfolio of public apps from this era of my life can be found here:

I’ve found it’s not easy being a multi minority in the tech industry. I am Indian American, I am female, and I am young. I’ve found that to too many people, these three things define me before they even meet me and I’m on a mission to prove them wrong.

Through a little series on my page called #ReactResiliently, my goal is to help aspiring women in tech (and other groups too, of course!) feel empowered to make their voices heard and equip them with strategies to resiliently handle difficult situations.

As I share my personal experiences and learnings, I want to use this platform to document my own journey overcoming the obstacles. Nothing brings me more joy and fulfillment than hearing stories of those who improve their professional careers by applying my content. At the end of the day, the members of this community need to know that no matter how isolating a circumstance may feel, no one is alone.
